I just left the Club tonight after fixing a card issue. I was VERY surprised as I was driving towards the gate in the dark and suddenly a small herd of beasts went jogging through my headlights and crossed into the cactus and trees on the side of the road. At first I thought they were Peccaries, but the head didn’t look right. No trailing snout hanging low. The snout was more rounded and smooth. As far as I could tell in that brief moment, they were Capybaras! Whoa! What a surprise that was! And it looked like it was a family of about 6 of them. I sure wish I had a dashcam installed in my car to have caught them on camera.
